October Education Programs from LHA
The LHA is offering two exceptional education programs in October that might be of interest to you or your staff. Please take a moment to review the programs, and share them as appropriate.
- The Opioid Crisis: A Focus on Implications for Hospital Care
Oct. 16; LHA Conference Center, Baton Rouge; Register Online
Join local and national experts, along with the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association which has been leading the way for four years on opioid management, to discuss the root causes of the current dire opioid predicament, strategies to combat both the problem and the treatment challenges, addiction physiology, and concrete best practices, tools and guidelines that attendees can share with their colleagues.
- 2018 Leadership Development Institute
Oct. 17-18; LHA Conference Center, Baton Rouge; Register Online
The 2018 Leadership Development Institute is a structured, action-oriented approach to assist healthcare leaders – at all levels – in being more effective and will provide insight and resources that will guide them in designing their own mini-leadership development plan that can be shared with their hospital team. The program covers core leadership competencies; personality type preference and its impact on communication; leadership and workstyle; influence and effectiveness of stakeholder relationships; and critical coaching skills for delegating, providing feedback, managing conflict and developing direct reports.
Thank you for your continued support of LHA’s education events. If there are additional trainings or content that you would like us to pursue, please contact LHA Associate Vice President of Education Services Merle Francis at email@example.com.
